Amy Baggott is the Principal at EventCounselor which provides event planning services in Menlo Park, Mountain View, Palo Alto and Redwood City, California. Amy loves gardening, transcendent endeavors, and event planning, so starting a subsidiary that offers terrarium building parties made perfect sense! Turn Over a Toadstool is a distinctive compliment to EventCounselor's current service offerings.


Amy's clients largely plan events themselves, but finding a new activity for a party can be hard on your own. 
Turn Over a Toadstool will provide a complete terrarium building party at your home or event space, where each guest goes home with a self-sustaining garden that will provide maintenance-free happiness long after your event.

BIO

Amy started formal training in event planning in high school with the Junior Prom and parlayed that experience into a career where event planning was either at the center of the job responsibilities or some additional task assigned to her "because of her experience in event planning".  Amy's relationship building skills, customer service experience, social connecting abilities, sales background, and project management skills make her a unique resource.

Amy was the Event Services Director at Caneel Bay Resort on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  She planned and executed weddings, group meetings, parties and and restaurant events in one of the most beautiful locations in the Caribbean.

Amy was the Client Services Director at Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She helped guests with concierge services, children's activities, and managed people doing the same.

Most recently, Amy helped to plan the Peninsula School Spring Fair as one of the main organizers (2008), the Peninsula School Major Donor Event (2009), Peninsula School Online Auction (2010 and 2011). Disclaimer: I am a current parent at Peninsula School.

Amy has planned IPO parties (Versant Object Technology), weddings (most significantly to her, her own), engagement parties, birthday parties, destination parties, bridal showers, baby showers, executive business meetings (EnterpriseLink Technology), President's Clubs (Agency Management Services), office holiday parties, and company incentive outings (Hornblower Yachts).


MORE ABOUT AMY

When Amy wasn't event planning, she was busy as a successful sales professional in the areas of database technologies, mainframe to web translation software, internet marketing research, printing services, and not-for-profit fundraising.  Out of these experiences, she became highly skilled in program infrastructure creation, relationship building for strategic partnerships, enterprise selling, account and project management, contract negotiations, customer service, cross divisional team building, and managing individuals and teams.  Some of the roles in which Amy served were Director of Client Services, National Account Manager, Director of Business Development, and Account Manager.  Amy lives in Menlo Park and spends her downtime chasing after her 4 kids, caring for her husband, gardening, and throwing parties for her friends.
